What data breach procedures we have in place

The site is created using a Content Management System (CMS) called WordPress. This CMS is the most popular worldwide and as a result has had more than its fair share of data breaches. As a result the WordPress CMS was given a major security development in 2018. Because of its popularity it is still the most attacked by hackers but the security breaches have been minimised due to these security improvements. To ensure the maximum security of the site, security updates are effected as soon as is practicably possible after release.

Other methods to ensure the stability of security include using a HTTPS certificate issued by the website host ( This certificate ensures that all traffic between this site and the host is fully encrypted, making the site more secure from hackers.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

User data is made visible only to the club membership with a few exceptions: e.g. Secretary, Chairman, and other club officials who have given permission for some user data to be made public: e.g. email and telephone number for public interface purposes only. No user data, either public or private, is given to any third party without the authority of the person to whom the data belongs.
